Week #33: Croissant, S’il Vous Plait.

The Turkish language has borrowed (and adapted) many words from other languages. Besides Arabic and Persian, French vocabulary is also quite well represented. You might have been in a rush to the train gar, or twisted your tongue trying to pronounce küaför… I have a piece of good news: kruvasan might look a silly spelling to all the French speakers out there, but it’s easy to remember even speaking Turkish is not one of your assets.

I don’t actually remember, how the waiters pronounced: kruvasan or croissant, but it doesn’t really matter: it was delicious. Brekkie Croissant & Cookie serves delicious breakfast. Croissants filled with eggs, cheese, salami, vegetables and avocado. They also offer sweet croissants. These freshly baked croissants seem to be so popular that there is often a waiting line for the breakfast. That is why I recommend you to visit them during the week.

Portions are quite big, so better be hungry or share (if you dare) your croissant with someone else. Alternatively, you can also buy freshly baked croissants, take them home and fill them with whatever you please.
